Day 5 - 7:
July 8th-10th, 2011

Konichiwa,
We had a wonderful
weekend at Hakata! It is always amazing to go back to places year after
year and build relationships. We love the Hamilton family and just love
every moment we get to spend with them. Their family has 3 girls, who
after all these years are very much like our little sisters!
FRIDAY
"On Friday we had a
wonderful day off. Maki, an old friend from our first year in Tokyo,
met us in Fukuoka and took us out to a special tofu restaurant. She is
currently teaching English at a British International School in Brazil
and happened to be back in Fukuoka visiting family when she found out
we would be there at the same time. The tofu restaurant was called the
Plum Flower and was very beautiful and delicious! The meal was served
in several courses from a tofu soup to tofu ice cream. She was so
encouraging to all of us and we had the opportunity to pray with her
and hopefully encourage her as well. These spontaneous divine
appointments are always a blessing and so much fun!" - Erica
SATURDAY
"On Saturday, we taught
a dance workshop at Hakata New Life Church. We had a younger and older
group of girls. We taught the girls a portion of choreography, had
devotional time with them, and taught workshops including ballet, leaps
and turns, dramatic, and Israeli. We taught from 10:00am to 2:30pm, and
then from 2:30 to 3:00 the classes shared the dances that they learned.
During that time we also performed one of our pieces for them, followed
by a group follow-along with all the members of the camp. We gave each
of the girls one of our CMA Japan T-shirts and they put them on for the
end performance time so that we could all match. After a fun day of
dancing it was so awesome for us to dance together as a group, praising
our Lord together with a final worship follow-along to the song:
"Our God is greater, our
God is stronger
God you are higher than any other.
Our God is healer, awesome in power,
Our God, our God..."

"Today we had the
wonderful opportunity of worshipping with Hakata New Life church. We
loved singing songs of praise in both languages! "From the mountains to
the valleys, may our praises rise to You." It is such a pleasure to be
with the family of God on the other side of the world! They graciously
allowed us to take their whole church service, and it was a precious
time of ministry. The theme of our dances and testimonies was the
faithfulness of God through even the difficult times in our lives. One
person commented that the service related to both the mountain top and
valley experiences. I shared about how God has used brokenness in my
life to reveal Himself to me. Several people told me later
that they
were touched by the Holy Spirit as I shared my heart. We ended our
worship time with the dance, "Turn Your Eyes", which was the perfect
way to seal the message we wanted to express. During the dance I have a
free-dance section, where I can freely express my heart before my King.
"The things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory
and grace." - Naomi
Sunday morning was
amazing! My (Tiffany) favorite part was worshiping with my brothers and
sisters (in Christ) here in Japan. At one point we sang to a melody,
the word "Hallelujah" over and over and over. It was incredible. In
that room there were, Americans, Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese. We all
love the same Jesus, serve the same God and we were singing a word that
we all understood. Lifting our voices together in worship to our mighty
King! As we traveled around town this week we have seen huge shrines
that are being made for a festival this weekend. In the midst of a time
where so many are worshiping false gods, it was amazing to have the
opportunity to proclaim the God who loves, lives and saves!
We were so sad to leave
our family at Hakata but at the same time we are excited for all the
Lord has planned for us this week. We are now safely in KitaKyushu with
Rocky and Marla. Please pray for continued heath, rest and strength.
Hannah is still struggling with pain in her back and knees. Also pray
with us for the people who, this week, heard about Jesus for the first
time. Pray for those who know the Lord, but are being drawn into a
deeper relationship. Pray that the Lord would continue to work in these
people's lives and reveal His love to them in a mighty way.
Living for HIS glory,

Tiffany and CMA Japan 2011 Team
