We are going to
Japan!!
Our
team leaves tomorrow morning from DIA, to San Francisco, to Tokyo, take
a bus to change airports, to finally land in Kagoshima Japan!! Whew!
We are all so excited to start out on this grand adventure which the
Lord has
placed before us! The Lord's hand has been so visible as we have
planned and prepared for this trip, we can't wait to see all that He
has in store!
The purpose of this email is to ask you, our home support team, to be
in prayer for some of our specific needs.
Please pray for:
Safety over all our travel
No problems with our luggage
- We have an event the first
morning after we arrive and will be needing costuming, music and
supplies. So please pray for the luggage to arrive with us!
Flight changes and airport
changes to run smoothly
Energy and ready bodies and
minds, as we jump into a full schedule 12
hours after arriving
I have asked each team member to write out their personal prayer
requests:
Erica:
"I would like to request prayer for BOLDNESS and UNITY in our team and
a fruitful HARVEST this year for Japan. Personally, I'd like to
ask for a willing, unselfish heart, the Lord's joyful strength for the
duration of the trip and to protect my heart and mind from efforts to
distract me. Pray also that I wouldn't be in any fear and experience
the peace that passes all understanding and that I wouldn't miss my
husband too much!"
Naomi:
"Please pray for strength and wisdom and healing as my lower back
injury has flared. May the Lord use me in spite of possible physical
limitations. Join me in prayer for a miraculous intervention." - Naomi,
has dealt with major back problems for years. However things began to
worsen dramatically the past month. One of the disks in her lower back
is bulging out and pressing on a nerve causing much pain and
discomfort. Please pray with us that she would rely on the Lord for her
strength, peace and joy. Pray for Gods healing power, and for relief
from pain as we travel and dance.
Katrina:
"Please be asking God for continuing health and for God's protection
over my neck and back. In particular, please pray that lifting,
hauling, etc. won't cause my previous neck injury to return. Also, I
struggled with dizziness and heat exhaustion last year, pray that those
things wouldn't hinder my ability to serve Him."
Hannah:
"My primary areas that need prayer are my right ankle and my head. The
ankle has had ongoing tendon issues that cause pain and instability,
and my head has been suffering from severe dizziness and headaches for
the last few months. Pray that I would hang onto His strength, and not
trust in my own."
Gwen:
"A couple things you could be praying for for me are:
1) My ankle injuries. This is an injury I have had for a
year, involving tendons falling out of place (making jumping really
painful).
2) Boldness in preaching the gospel and whatever else the Lord
puts on my heart to say! I want to be His mouthpiece.
3) A servant's heart and focus on the Lord. May I not
forget why I am there and lose sight of what it is truly about!"
Christine:
"Please pray that I would have the boldness to be able to talk to the
people there and say what God calls me to say. Also, I have mild
tendonitis in my left foot and I just ask for prayer that it would not
flare up and get worse while I am there."
Tiffany:
"Pray that the Lord would give me *His* wisdom and that I would be the
kind of leader He wants me to be for this team. You can also pray for
protection over my knees, an old injury that likes to flare up now and
then! Also, I have major sinus problems that will be needing surgical
attention when I return. Because of various reasons, I can not take the
strong medication I need for this trip. This will be my first time to
Japan with out it and I am praying for the Lords, strength, protection,
and the ability to trust in Him no matter what I may feel like
physically."
As you may notice, the team needs a lot of prayer over our physical
bodies. This is not a surprise to us because our bodies are what we are
using as a tool to bring the light of Christ to these people. We know
the Lord has called us to go, and none of our physical needs are a
surprise to Him! So we rest our trust in the One who can and will
supply all our needs!
Speaking of supplying our needs, WE RAISED ALL OUR MONEY FOR THE TRIP!!
As of this past Sunday we finally broke the $14,000 mark!!! Praise
God!!! A VERY large, Thank you, to each of you who made this possible!!
Thank you for being the Lords hands and feet!
We don't know what kind of internet access we will have at the
different cities we will be in, but we will sent home updates as much
as we can!
Our ministry
schedule has been updated on our website,

The cry of our hearts:
"Pray also for me, that whenever I open my
mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the
mystery of the gospel...Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I
should." Eph.6:19-20 NIV
