Day 16 & 17:
July 27-28, 2008

Dear Friends and family,
Hakata Sunday Morning Service
We thank you so much for your prayers! Things have been going really well! On Sunday we had a 90 min performance, for the Sunday morning service at Hakata. Erica talked about the Lord's faithfulness, and then many of us shared testimonies of times the Lord has shown Himself faithful in our lives. All the dances went really well, we were able to quickly adapt dances back to the versions with Erica. Thank you Lord! After the service we talked to many people who were so touched by our testimonies. One lady told us that the theme that came through all our testimonies was that God is real, He is real! She was blessed by our openness and honesty. She told me of a lady who had come to church for the first time that morning. The lady told her, "I have seen ballet before, but this was different. I felt something." Thank you Lord for the way you use us! Masumi's mother, who is not a Christian yet, came that morning. We were praying for this! She is so sweet and such a giver. She brought us tons of delicious fruit one day and then bought us all gifts later in the week. We are praying that very soon she will decide to give her life, to the giver of all life!

Purity Seminar - Katrina
That afternoon we held a purity seminar. It was a wonderful turn out and we were so happy to again share about our dependence on Christ as we walk a life of purity. We emphasized how precious they are in God's sight, how valuable and loved they are by Him. Please pray for decisions that were made that day and that the words they heard would nestle deep into their hearts.

Dinner with the Hamiltons

For dinner we were taken to a yummy buffet restaurant. It was so good to spend more time with the Hamiltons, Masumi & another mother and daughter that we knew from last year. We have loved serving with this church.

Hamiltons and Masumi Monday after lunch we had to say goodbye to these wonderful people. They have been so encouraging and supportive of our ministry. We are thankful that the Lord has joined us with these people. They invited us to come back next year, or any time we want to! They said we could come as a group or individually, their home & church are always open to us! What wonderful people, with passionate hearts for the Lord. It was sad to leave, especially to say goodbye to our sweet Hamilton girls. We are praying that the Lord would richly bless them. They stepped out in faith financially as they took care of us for the week (for food, accommodations, transportation, etc.). They were so excited to see the ways the Lord provided for them, one day at a time. Please pray that the Lord would supply for their every need, above and beyond what they could want or need!

After lunch they put us on the train with a tearful goodbye, and we were on our way to Kita-Kyushu. We got off an hour later to see the smiling faces of Rocky, Marla, Hana, Shinobu, and Takako!! We are sooooo happy to be here again (for the 4th year) with our dear friends! We are staying at Rocky and Marla's house, they are so sweet to open their home to us!
Fondu Dinner at Rocky and Marla's

That night they served us a fun meal. You sit at the table with a pot of boiling broth and cook your own food as you eat. Pork, vegetables, bean sproutish things, and quail eggs! Then you dip everything in yummy sauce!! So good! How fun to be here with our brothers and sisters in Christ!

Again thank you for your prayers. Everyone is doing well right now. Backs are doing better, but not completely healed yet. Lord we thank you for your healing and the strength that you give for each moment and each day!
