Day 1:
July 12, 2008
Dear Friends,

I write to you today from beautiful Kokubu, where we are surrounded by beautiful green fields and mountains. Today we get to relax and catch up on work as we prepare for our next events. We are praising God for the way He has sustained us and given us everything we need.

Our first day here we taught a workshop for children and adults. We talked about Jesus Christ as our All in All, and how He alone can satisfy and provide for our every need. That afternoon we had a performance where we danced and shared testimonies and the students joined in a dance with us
and shared a verse they had learned that day.

That evening we had a 80min performance. The church had sent out and put up fliers advertising for this event. There were many people in attendance, the most exciting thing was the people who were steping into a church for the first time. Tim Board (the missionary we are working with here) told us that when they have events and try to get new people in to the church, it is usually about 2 new timers that come. We had 10 people who were there for the first time!! He said in his 10 years here, that has NEVER happened! PRAISE THE LORD!! We feel so privaleged to be used as God`s tool to draw people into these churches. Tim said that people have the idea that churches are for the weak, so if they can just get them into the church 1 time, it finally shatters their image of what the church is and then it`s much easier for them to come back after that.



They had people fill out responce forms after the concert, here are a few of their comments:

"I`ve never studied the Bible. You say, "if you believe you will be saved", but I have never believed. Now I have curiosity about religion. Very beautiful dance. I feel like my heart has been washed."

"I felt great emotion from seeing you express God`s love with all your heart and body"

"I am hard of hearing but I was mesmorised by your beautiful dancing."

"It was very very wonderful. I could feel your heart through dancing. I do not know Jesus or Bible very well, but I felt envious that you could worship God the way you do. My heart was healed"

"Watching you made me want to jump up and dance with you!"

"I was touched by Katrina`s testimony"

"The dance and songs fit perfectly together. The dance expressed God`s heart perfectly"

We are praying the Lord will do a work in the hearts of those who came that night. We pray that the seeds that were planted will create a deep hunger in them for Jesus Christ. Please pray that the Lord would draw them back to this church again and that He would put other believers in their path.
